• What do I need to run this bench burner at home?

The simplest explanation is to start at the tanks, both oxygen and propane. Carlisle already has a starter kit for you. It contains regulators for each tank, a pair of flashback arrestors, hoses made up to the length that you will need and finally the torch itself.

Next is an adequate ventilation system to be placed at the front or top of the torch to vent the noxious gases from the torch flame. Yes, Carlisle does make one. Please ask your sales representative.

• Can I use natural gas on my new torch?

All Carlisle torches are made to run either natural gas, propane or hydrogen. Carlisle also has a kit for natural gas hook up. Please speak to one of our sales representatives to make sure you get the right hook up for your torch.

NOTE: When dealing with natural gas, the gas company will need to know how many BTU's the torch uses. The following is a table of the BTU values of a number of different torches manufactured by Carlisle Machine Works.
