Carlisle Piloted Oxygen Torch Tips are offered in a multitude of different styles. These tips can be manufactured from brass, stainless steel, or both. They can be used on a number of different hand torches, machines, or in custom manifolds such as a crossfire setup. Carlisle tips are manufactured for use with a mixture of oxygen and either natural gas, propane, or mixed gas. Although some of Carlisle's other tips are used with a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen, it is recommended that this mixture not be used with any type of piloted torch. Carlisle also recommends that hydrogen and oxygen mixtures not be used with any type of pre-mixed torches except single hole un-piloted torch tips. Piloting allows the flame produced by a torch to provide increased stability. Piloted Oxygen Torch Tips achieve this effect through the use of knurled inserts that form a ring of smaller ports around the larger center orifice. This low level of burning gas forms a supporting foundation around the center flame. Due to the increased stability, an operator is able to push the torch harder without the flame moving off of the face of the tip.
OX1300-A SERIESThis series is offered in both brass and stainless steel. The body style is hexagonal. This tip is utilized frequently on machinery for glassworking. |
OX1319 SERIESThe OX1319 series is offered in stainless steel only. This series has one of the largest flame outputs of any single orifice piloted tip sold by Carlisle. By using a unique double ring piloting system, these tips can utilize exceptionally large center drill sizes and still develop flame lengths over 12". |
IT SERIESThe IT tip series, offered only in stainless steel, is a unique series because of the design of its piloting. Rather than using a knurled insert, this series uses a milled slot for piloting that is located below the port configuration. This design makes it very difficult for a blow-off to occur. For varied flame types, this series is offered with 1 - 3 port holes. |
8 SERIESThe "8" tip series is offered only in stainless steel. The 8 series consists of mostly smaller tips which are used for their pinpoint flames. Most tips in this series are still able to produce overall flame lengths of between 3" - 6" with focal lengths of 1/8" - 3/8". |
OF SERIESThe OF series is offered in brass only. Their body style is hexagonal. This series is very similar to the OX1300-A series. The main difference between the two is their body styles. In most cases, the OF series is a full 2" long where as the 1300-A series is standardly closer to a 1" length. The center drill sizes of this series have a larger range compared to the 1300- A series. |
693 SERIESThis series is offered only in stainless steel. The body style is round and constructed from 1/8" pipe. This series offers two distinct sizes depending on the customer's needs. This tip comes standard in a one inch length but can also be made in a two inch length if the customer specifies this. |
OX SERIESThis series is offered in both brass and stainless steel. The body style is hexagonal. This tip is threaded to fit the standard oxygen nozzle for use with most Carlisle hand torches. This series has 5 tips numbered 1 - 5. The larger numbers signify a larger center drill size and a greater flame output. |
OX-MP SERIESThis series is offered only in brass. The body style is hexagonal. The OX-MP series has a very unique 3/16" x 40 thread to fit the Hoke Oxygen Torch. This series has 5 tips numbered 1 - 5. The larger numbers signify a larger center drill size and a greater flame output. |
NOX SERIESThis series is offered in both brass and stainless steel. The body style is hexagonal. This tip has a 7/16"-24 thread to fit both the Carlisle High Capacity Hand Torch and the 3A National Hand Torch. The NOX series has 5 tips numbered 1 - 5. The larger numbers signify a larger center drill size and a greater flame output. |
Carlisle Un-piloted Oxygen Torch Tips are offered in many different styles. These tips can be manufactured from brass or stainless steel. They can be used on a number of different hand torches, on machines, or in custom manifolds such as a crossfire setup. Carlisle tips are manufactured for use with a mixture of oxygen and either natural gas, propane, hydrogen, or mixed gas. Although extreme caution should be used with the use of hydrogen in any pre-mixed environment.
Unlike the Piloted Tip Series, these tips only have a center drill port and no knurled inserts. The lack of supporting flame from the missing piloting means that the tip can not be pushed as hard as a tip with piloting. Although, it is important to note that with an un-piloted tip, an operator will achieve a much sharper flame. Also, the tips in the Un-piloted Tip Series can have a much larger center drill port.
O SERIESThis series is offered in both brass and stainless steel. The body style is hexagonal. This tip is threaded to fit the standard oxygen nozzle for use with most Carlisle hand torches. This series has 5 tips numbered 1 - 5. The larger numbers signify a larger center drill size and a greater flame output. |
AK SERIESThis series is offered in both brass and stainless steel. The body style is hexagonal. This tip is threaded to fit the 3/8" nozzle for use with most Carlisle hand torches. This series has 5 tips numbered 1 - 5. The larger numbers signify a larger center drill size and a greater flame output. |
OX SERIESThe OX Series is only offered in a brass model. This series has a very different setup from that of other tips in it's section. The range of tips go from small flame outputs to extremely large flame outputs. It is important to note that all of the center drill ports for the OX series are measured in millimeters. |
OXU SERIESThis series is only offered in brass. The body style is hexagonal at the base, with a round tapered head. These tips are unique due to their optional mounting system. They can be purchased with a special ball joint mounted to the base of the frame which makes them very versatile for positioning. |
